SafePoint^® Alarms

With SafePoint Alarms, you can configure security alerts that will inform you, in real time, when critical security events occur.  With the SafePoint Security Event Console, you can see security alerts highlighted in red on the console window.  Alerts are also written to EMS, the Event Management System.  Alerts may be configured for Safeguard, OSS, and BOSS events.  Contact Unlimited Software Associates, Inc. for more information.

 

SafePoint^® NSK Security Event Console

Now you can watch security events, as reported by Safeguard, OSS,  and BOSS, in real time using the SafePoint Security Event Console.  Based on configurable event filtering parameters, security events from the NSK appear in a scrolling event console window on your PC.  Contact Unlimited Software Associates, Inc. for more information.

 

SafePoint^® Admin

SafePoint Admin^® (SafePoint Admin) provides a fully-integrated, Microsoft Windows (Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 98, or Windows 95) interface to Safeguard. It provides a central point of Tandem security administration and parallel processing of Tandem security transactions for Tandem networks. With SafePoint’s powerful security servers running on your Tandems, you can be logged on as a local user on all of your systems simultaneously.

 

SafePoint Admin provides a valuable tool toward the goal of providing accountability for individuals on your Tandem systems. You can maintain personnel data right alongside user (and alias) data, and you can generate reports which tie real people’s names, addresses, etc. to Tandem user names and IDs. From the Alias Administration Window, you can finally lock down shared user IDs like SUPER.SUPER by assigning individual aliases to such IDs.

 

With SafePoint Admin and the Alias and Group features in Safeguard, you can implement high-level, maintainable security solutions which map job functions to system objects and enforce the security rules required by your security policy.

            

SafePoint Admin contains the world's first virus check facility for NSK systems.  Use it to scan your system for Trojan horse and other viruses, and to monitor progided and licensed programs.

 

SafePoint^® Reports

Unless you're generating and reviewing Safeguard audit reports, your Safeguard-based Tandem systems are not really secure.

 

SafePoint Reports^® (SafePoint Reports) provides comprehensive reports based on the Safeguard audit trails, as well as the BOSS audit trails. Reports may be run showing logon attempts to your Tandem systems, diskfile and object access attempts, security violations, user activity reports, and any other information available from the Safeguard audit trails.

 

SafePoint Reports also provides a comprehensive set of security analysis reports, including user snapshot, alias snapshot, personnel data, ACL snapshot, and user access reports.

 

SafePoint's AutoFTP^™ technology allows the reports to be run on the NSK systems, then automatically downloaded into customizable Microsoft Excel and HTML documents.  No other product provides the sophistication to bring NSK Safeguard data into PC reports in this manner.

 

Reports may be generated via our powerful Windows application, or via a Tandem scheduler, such as the custom SafePoint scheduler or Netbatch. Full filtering capabilities, and complete report customization is available within the product.

 

User accountability of your Tandem shared user IDs (like SUPER.SUPER) is achieved by providing aliases for these IDs, and then running SafePoint Reports. The report entries show both the alias and the user ID of the person who invoked an audited event.

 

SafePoint Reports can be installed and configured in less than one hour, and in that time you can begin generating easy-to-read, highly intelligent reports. You can even merge audit information from multiple NSK systems into a single report.

 

Reports may be configured just for your site, and may include information covering various time periods, users, aliases, and objects.
